Meet Damon and Marie Trejo – Founders of Grasshopper Landscaping

Damon and Marie Trejo began their journey together in 1996 when they moved to Southern Arizona after getting married. What started as a variety of handyman jobs soon evolved into a focused and passionate commitment to landscaping and grounds maintenance. They poured their energy into building Grasshopper Landscaping from the ground up, driven by hard work, dedication, and love for their craft.

In the early days, Damon and Marie worked side by side in the field. When their second son was born, they adapted by dividing responsibilities—Damon continued working outdoors while Marie shifted to managing the office and caring for their growing family. This teamwork and flexibility allowed them to continue delivering exceptional service to their clients while maintaining the strong family foundation they value so deeply.

For Damon and Marie, family is at the heart of everything they do. Their work ethic, long hours, and passion are all rooted in their desire to create a better life for their children, bonus kids, and grandkids. Their mission extends beyond their own home—they aim to help other families create beautiful outdoor spaces where lasting memories can be made.

In June, Damon and Marie embarked on a new journey—a mission that took them away from the day-to-day operations of the business. Stepping into their shoes, their two oldest sons are now proudly running Grasshopper Landscaping, continuing the family legacy and the values that built it.
