Happy New Year!

Whewww. What a year!!

I feel like time is flying by! 

This year was a special year for our family.

We were all together. After a year and a half our daughter, Kyla, came home from her mission in the Dominican Republic in February. Our oldest daughter, Kourtney, also moved back from Wyoming with her son. We have loved being able to spend time together, go on vacations, and spend holidays together. We have loved it!!

2023 will always be a good year for us:)

Now that this year is coming to a close, it's that special time to reflect and ponder on our past and plan and dream for the future. It's also that time of year where everyone is bombarding us with the question "What are your New Year Resolutions?"

And to be frank, I hate setting New Year Resolutions because I always have a huge long list and I never actually stick to any of them past the middle of February. It's tragic, I know.

A few years ago Damon and I read this book called "One Word That Will Change Your Life"

It's a quick read (you can find the book on Amazon here) and I highly recommend it!

In this book it talks about focusing on one word throughout the year instead of making a list of goals. So we did. We both chose our words, printed out the word on a piece of paper, and stuck it up in our bathroom. We saw that word everyday. We focused and pondered on our words. And let me tell you we succeeded more throughout the year with that one word than we would have if we had a mile-long list of goals.

Going into 2024 we are doing the same thing. Many of our employees and children are choosing their own word for the year as well. And we hope you do the same! We actually encourage you to take this route of choosing one word and see how it goes. We know you'll find success.

We have our "word" as a company and I have one personally. 

So I hope you can take a few minutes to think and ponder about this last year and think and dream about the new year to come. 

We are excited for 2024! Great things are coming!
